When I asked some of my peers and coworkers what makes me stand out as a UX professional, here's what they told me I should highlight…
Walking the Line Between Creative and Technical
I have the unique ability to walk the line between the creative and the technical. Early in my career, I learned that I have a knack for understanding how different brands work. That understanding has been helpful as I transitioned to UX work. I excel at seeing the process and organizing information yet still reading empathy and insights of users. These insights allows me to stick up for the underserved.
Design and Project Management
My desire to understand process drove me to complete my MBA with a focus on Project Management. My experience in design and project management makes me really good at creating workable and deliverable products. My ability to see things from both sides and understand data flow helps me create relevant solutions that take less effort to implement.
Not Afraid to Talk to the People
I strive to collaborate and communicate with people—users, business people, developers. My ability to ask the right questions across different disciplines allows me to create solutions that satisfy all of the parties that are creating and ultimately using the product. I'm tenacious in my opinions yet willing to check my ego when presented better ideas or when things change.
